On November 5th 2007, a Joint Venture (JV ) between the Consortium Management of the Bahía Blanca Port ( CGPBB ) and the Punta Alta Electric Cooperative ( CEPA) started operations. Since then, they have invested more than 9 million Pesos, re enhancing the Operational Area 1, based in Coronel Rosales.
The strategic alliance between the two companies, the most representative of the districts of Bahia Blanca and Punta Alta, generated a joint effort to make the Bahía Blanca – Cnel. Rosales Free Trade Zone a reality in late 2012 , with the aim of promoting Trade and Industrial Export activity through cost reduction and simplification of administrative procedures as well as offering tax incentives for all companies in the region.
